Death is investigated by the special investigations unit. SIU is responsible for contacting the inmates next of Kin. Notification must be made in person and they report about the notification must be filed.
In the event in inmate attempt suicide and or sustained serious life-threatening injuries what is the sergeants responsibility?
Notify SIU. Notify the inmates emergency contact, contact may be made by phone. Write an incident report detailing the notification.
What forms of money can be accepted at the visitation desk?
Cash, money order, cashiers checks, and or checks from other county state or federal institutions. No change will be excepted.

What is the process required to get an inmate onto food loaf?
1) . The deputy must write an incident report
2) . the supervisor will immediately review the report and sign and complete a food loaf request form.
3) . The shift Sgt will immediately review the food loaf request form, and if it meets the criteria; submit the report and form to the shift lieutenant.
4) . Because the incident comes with a ticket for misconduct…The Lt will assist the hearing Sgt both the violation hearing and the food loaf request.
5) . If the review Sgt finds the inmate guilty, he also signs the food loaf form authorizing the Food Loaf.
How often is food loaf evaluated?
Food loaf authorization will be evaluated no later than 7 days after implementation. This evaluation will be done by the supervisor, forwarded to the shift sergeant for review, and will be forwarded to the corrections captain for review as well.
Who can authorize food loaf to be discontinued early?
The corrective services captain or their designee.
Who notifies the kitchen that an inmate has been placed on food loaf?

How long can an inmate beyond food loaf for?
14 days, with a review after the first 7 days
When must an inmate have a health assessment by clinic staff?
Within the first 14 days of being lodged, unless they have a documented health assessment within the previous 90 days from the previous stay in the jail

What happens after an inmate is placed into MX1 status?
The placement will be reviewed by a shift sergeant within 24 hours, and the jail administrator within 72 hours.Both reviews will be documented in IMACS.
