normal CVP in dogs and cats
0-10 cm H20
normal CVP in horses: dorsal vs lat
dorsal: 5-10 cm H20
lat: 15-25 cm H20
calculating mean pressure
1/3 (sys-dia) + diastolic
if bp cuff is too loose, pressure measures —-
LOWER
soda lime conversion ***
Co2+ water –> Carbonic acid+ Ca-OH –> calcium carbonate
***heat and water are generated

- geriatric/pediatrics
- pregnancy/ C section
MAC-sparing drugs
- opioids
- alpha 2s
- nitrous oxide
