Will the cockpit domelight illuminate on in unpowered airplane?
Only if the flight attendant panel ‘COURTESY LIGHTS’ switch is in the ‘AUTO’
How are the emergency lights charge?
4 ELPUs (Emergency Light Power Units) charged off the DC BUS 1
If Emergency Lights switch off:
EMER LT NOT ARMED
If Emergency Lights switch on:
EMER LT ON & EMER LT NOT ARMED
If lights are set to AUTO, the for EPLUs are charging and no annunciation will be on. Only come on if loss of power on DC Buses.
When will the emergency lights automatically illuminate?
Provided the switch is in ‘AUTO’, if the DC BUSES lose power or the airplane’s electrical power is turned off, the emergency lights will automatically illuminate.
How long will the emergency lights last once illuminated?
10 minutes
Where does the flight attendant check the potable water quality and waste service tank system?
AFT Flight Attendant panel
What does a Waste Service Tank light mean on the AFT Flight Attendant panel?
Tank Full light?
Team to 75% full
Tank is full
What does a ‘FAULT’ lightning on the AFT Flight Attendant panel?
Fault is in the FWD or AFT drain valve
Water level indication is not available

MFD ‘STATUS’ page

What is the purpose of the vent flap on the main cabin or service stores?
To relieve residual cabin pressure prior to opening the main cabin or service doors.
A load is applied to the vent flap/locking mechanism making a door difficult to open as cabin pressure increases.
What happens if a pilot selects ‘EMER’ on the audio panel?
A red light on the Cabin Light rainbow illuminates.

When is the emergency escape slide automatically disarmed?
If the main cabin or service stores are open from outside the aircraft.
What indications are present to confirm whether or not the escape slides are armed or disarmed?
Arm: RED ‘ARMED’ appears above the respective door handle
Disarmed: GREEN ‘DISARMED’appears above the respective door handle
When will the reinforced cockpit door latch automatically open?
30 seconds after the flight attendant ‘EMER CALL’ button has been pushed if the ‘INHIBIT’ button has not been pushed by the flightcrew
What happens if the flightcrew pushes the ‘INHIBIT’ button?
The automatic open function is inhibited for 500 seconds.
Normally will be using the guarded lock switch to lock and unlock the flight deck door. White bar on switch shown when unlocked.
What are the cockpit door blowup panels?
Unfolding panels in the cockpit door that help equalize pressure between the cockpit in the cabin during decompression.
Door retains fully ballistic and impact characteristics of panels unfold.
How was the cockpit door latched?
Doorlock is electro-mechanical latch
What does the cabin door test switch in the cockpit do?
Only tests the chime
Is there a second means to lock the cockpit?
A second mechanical latch can be used if you need to lock an intruder out.
When the FA ‘EMER CALL’ button is pushed the pilots have 30 seconds to ‘INHIBIT’ the emergency opening. Inhibit last for 500 seconds.
How was the DVDR activated?
Automatically turned on through the MCDU
Automatically turns on when an engine is running
Automatically turns off with WOW & engine is not running
How many DVDRs are installed?
2- 1 FWD & 1 AFT
How long will the DVDR record?
2 hours of voice and radio communications
25 hours of flight data in GMT
Can the CVR be erased?
Yes, the airplane must be on the ground with the parking brake set
What pressure rises the potable water storage tank?
Engine or APU bleed air
If the AC GPU is to be used to power the aircraft, what should be seen on the GPU panel?
Ensure ‘AVAIL’ is displayed and not ‘IN USE’
