Gender equity
recognises that women and gender-diverse people are not in the same ‘starting position’ as men

Gender equality
is the achievement of equal outcomes for women, men and gender diverse people.
Gender equality
refers to the “enjoyment of equal rights, opportunities, and treatment by men, women, boys, and girls in all spheres of life”
Gender equality
is the action we take to achieve gender equality. In our society, women, men and gender diverse people don’t have the same opportunities and access to resources and power. Nor do all women experience the same disadvantage.
Gender equity
is defined as the development of a personal preference for the kinds of activities and attitudes associated with the masculine or feminine gender role .
Gender Preference
refers to the role a person is expected to perform as a result of being male or female in a particular culture ; as distinguished from the term “sex role” which is more ambiguous.
Gender role
It also refers to a set of behavior expectations (norms) for males and females.

defined as the behaviors and attitudes a person has that are indicative of maleness or femaleness in one’s society
Gender role
refers to a subjective, but continuous and persistent, sense of ourselves as masculine or feminine
Gender Identity
refers to the preferred term to describe individuals whose gender identity and gender role encompass both masculine and feminine qualities.
Transgender
➢refers to people who do not identify with or present themselves as reflecting the sex they were born with and who move across or combine gender boundaries.
Transgender
umbrella term that describes those who have a gender that can’t be exclusively categorized as man or woman.
Nonbinary
refers to a person who would prefer to be a person of the other sex and who may undergo hormone treatments , cosmetic surgery, or both to achieve the appearance of being a member of the other sex
Transsexual
