What are the elements of composition?
Space, time, dynamics, relationships
What is empathy?
Putting yourself in the other persons shoes. For example, you ‘feel’ the same feelings the other person is talking to you about.

What is active listening?
Listening to what the other person is saying without distraction. Making eye-contact and repeating what they say are forms of AL.
What is negotiation?
All parties in the relationship are able to communicate effectively without arguing. To be able to reach an agreement that suits.
What is speaking up?
Having the confidence to say what your beliefs are without fear.
What is decision-making?
Making a decision together that suits both parties in the relationship.
Compromise
One person has to give something up, or extend oneself for the greater good of the relationship.
Win-Lose
The focus is on achieving immediate goals with little or no regard for building future relationships.
Win-Win
Giving/taking - everyone wins
Lose-Lose
Both parties have a choice but it leads to nothing being achieved.
