Patriarchal control - explanation of female crimes
Women are at home - They don’t get times to be committing crimes
At work: Male managers/supervisors prevent them from committing crimes
In Public: Fear of male violence/fear of being labelled as being not respectable

Hegemonic masculinity: Paid labour/subordination of women/heterosexism
Subordinate masculinity: Homosexuality/disability which prevents them from working

The CJS is majority male, who have been raised to have a chivalrous/protective attitude towards them - not arresting them as much.
