pain and tenderness of muscles, weakness, decreased deep tendon reflexes

what are clasical symtpoms of GBS
numbness and tingling in feet
weakness and pain in arms and legs that fradually worsen over time
respiratory failure
plateu phase, atonmic dysfunction
what dow e do as OTs with GBS?
PROM, positionign and splinting
gentle, non resistve active light ADLs to allevite jint stiffness and muscle atrophy
grade th eactivity to avoid fatigue
what is CIPD
chronic inflammaorty demylinating polyneuropathy
what is the difference in CIPD and GBS
weakness progresses
if unrecognized, 30% of patients will become wc depedent
