common bile duct to the 2/3rds of the transverse colon
Where does the hingut start from in embryology?
2/3rds of the transverse colon to the anal canal
What supplies blood to the foregut?
celiac artery
What are the components of the foregut?
pharynx, oesophagus, stomach, proximal half of the duodenum, liver, biliary apparatus and pancreas
What supplies blood to the midgut?
superior mesenteric artery
What are the components of the midgut?
distal half of duodenum, jejunum, ileum, caecum, appendix, ascending colon, right 2/3rds of the transverse colon
What supplies blood to the hindgut?
inferior mesenteric artery
What are the components of the hindgut?
left 1/3 of the transverse colon, descending colon, sigmoid colon, rectum, anal canal
