Where are the G-cells ( neuroendocrine cells which are responsible for the synthesis and secretion of gastrin ) found?
Primarily found in the pyloric antrum.
Can also be found in the duodenum and the pancreas.
Which gene is responsible for Familial Adenomatous Polyposis ( FAP )?
Loss if the APC gene on the long arm of chromosome 5
Where is Cholecystokinin made?
In the I cells of duodenum, jejunum and enteric nerves
Where is gastrin released?
Gastrin is released by the G cells of the gastric antrum and duodenum
Which cells secrete secretin?
S cells of the granular mucosa of the duodenum
