  • epigastric mass
  • hepatomegaly

  • gastro-oesophageal endoscopy with multiple edge ulcer biopsies
  • endoscopic ultrasound to determine depth of cancer
  • CT/MRI fro staging
  • cytology of peritoneal washing to identify presence of peritoneal metastases.

What is the treatment of gastric cancer?

A
  • Partial or total gastrectomy
  • combination chemotherapy (epirubicin, cisplatin, 5-fluorouracil)
  • trageted therpies e.g. trastuzamab for HER2 positive tumours
