On the forehead in line with the pupil when looking straight ahead or the mid point btw the eyebrow or the superior orbital margin, 1 cun above the superior orbital margin and 2 cun below the hairline

Oblique superior to inferior at a depth of 0.5 to 1 cun

A

Depression btw the occipital bone at the level of GV 16, btw the trapezius and SCM midway btw the midline and the mastroid process

Towards the tip of the nose or opposite eye at a depth of 0.5-1 cun

Sympathetic switch, occipital neuralgia, pain and inflammation of SCM and traps, vascular headache and dizziness, fibromyalgia and spastic or spasmodic torticollis

A

Midpoint of the line connecting the lower margin of C7 spinous process and lateral aspect of acromion

Tap the needle through the skin, then pick up the skin and underlying muscle and insert the needle posterior to ant and inferior to superior into the muscle at a depth of 0.5 to 0.8 cun

Myofascial strain/sprain of traps, neck rigidity and pain, shoulder and back pain, fibromyalgia and spastic and spasmodic torticollis

At the junction of the lateral 1/3 and medial 2/3 of the distance on the line btw the sacral hiatus and the most prominent posterior point of the greater trochanter

Post to ant, perpendicular to the skin at a depth of 3-4 cun

Trochanteric bursitis, OA and RA of the hip, hip ligamentous sprain, LBP, sciatica, motor and sensory disorders of the L/E, hemiplegia and muscle atrophy of the L/E
