What are the clinical features of tinea pedis?
A
- chronic hyperkeratotic tinea (patchy, fine, dry scaling on the sole of the foot)
- moist, peeling irritable skin between toes.

What is the classic feature of tinea corporis/
A
- oval red scaly patches, often less red and scaly in the middle (RINGWORM)

topical antifungal agents e.g. terbinafine and itraconazole

Tinea corporis (ringworm) is fungal infection of the trunk, legs, arms with Trichophyton Rubrum - usually arising for tinea pedis,

A
- Oral candidiasis (oral thrush)
- angular cheilitis
- Vulvovaginal candidiasis
- Balanitis (penile infection)
- Intertrigo (skin fold)
- Chronic paronychia (nail fold)
- Onychomycosis (nail plate)

what are the risk factors for candida infection?
A
- infancy / elderly
- warm climate
- occlusion e.g plastic nappies
- broad spec abx
- oestrogen
- diabetes, cushings
- iron deficiency
- underlying skin disease (e.g. psoriasis)
