What are the common examination findings?
A
Rash can be anywhere:
Head - tinea capitis
Back - pityriasis versicolor
body - tinea corporis
crotch - tinea capitis
Feet - tinea pedia (athletes foot)
Nails - Tinea unguinum

What are the investigations?
A
To finish the exam i would like to - take a history and expose the whole body for rashes
Swab/Tail scrapings/scalp scrapings

What is the rash like?
A
All caused by candida albicans (except pityriasis)
Looks like ringworm

What is the treatment?
A
Conservative - Explain what it is
Medical - topical antifungal
Oral if nail
Shampoo if head or back
