Open and closed comedones on face/back of adolescents

To finish the exam i would like to - take a history and expose the whole body for rashes - I would like to explore the social impact
Bloods - FBC and LFTS incase considering systemic retinoids
Swab the site

A
Conservative - Explain what it is and how to reduce chances of getting spots
Medical -
- COCP in girls
- Topical retinoids
- Oral antibiotics
- Oral retinoids

What causes is?
A
Increased sebum and oil production in skin during puberty which gets stuck in the hair follicles.
Bacteria colonise this forming spots

Picking can make them worse
Greasy cosmetics
Hot environment
PCOS and endocrine
