    MINGMEN: essential aspect of kidney function. Right kidney is mingmen which is residence of shen . In women connected to uterus and in men it stores Jing.

FUNCTIONS OF MINGMEN:

  1. Root of original QI
  2. Source of fire for the internal organs
  3. Warms the lower mingmen and the bladder
  4. Warms stomach and spleen and aids digestion
  5. Harmonizes sexual functions, warms Jing and the uterus
  6. Assists the kidneys in the reception of qi
  7. Assist the heart function of housing the shen
