Fuel System Flashcards
Ground Fuel Schedule
Tank 2 uses fuels until 2,100lbs, then refueled to 2,450lbs by tank 1
When tank 1 reaches 900lbs, it stops transferring to tank 2, which is instead refueled by tank 4
Tank 3 is always refueled by tank 4, which then tank 4 is refueled by the wing tanks
In Flight with External Tanks
External Tank will keep tank 1 nearly full (above 900lbs)
Tank 2 will be between 2,100lbs and 2,450lbs and wings should be nearly full
Tanks 3 & 4 should be full
Fuel Transfer When Externals Empty
Tank 1 will be at 900lbs and cease transferring and remain 900lbs until wings are empty
Tank 2 should be between 2,100-2,450
Tank 3 & 4 Should be full
Tank 4 will supply fuel to both 2 & 3
Tank 4 will be supplied by the wing tanks
Fuel Transfer When Wings Empty
Tank 1& 4 will deplete from 900/3780 lbs at the same ratio, ending with 1 at 250lbs and 4 at 300lbs
Tank 3 will begin to cycle between 2,100-2,450lbs but should never be less than tank 4
