Ft7- Leader excellence - sprint 1 what do we want to achieve?
4things:
1/ Leader profile: define role and profile for successful leads: responsibilities and activities; KPIs (incl. MOC); Compensation
2/ Leader sourcing and development: models to groom existing agents to leaders? Or other sources of leaders (e.g professional managers); define implications on agent/producer track
3/ Team operating model: optimal team size and structure; codify team op model (leader and agent dilo/wilo); define performance management approach and activity tracking mechanisms
4/ supervisory operating model: review role of leaders of leaders (area, district, regional, provincial..)

Whats the problem today with leaders
When an agent produces, they become a leader but they are not fit for it so they get demoted quickly. On average leaders dont really play leader roles, they dont coach. There is a false belief at manulife that you can either be focused on production or team dev but not both.
