What technique is used for frictions
This technique is used to target a specific area of soft tissue damage that has resulted in scar tissue and adhesions
It consists of small, accurately localised, penetrating movements applied with mainly the pads of your fingers or the ball of the thumb

What are the effects of frictions
Traumatic hyperaemia which helps to evacuate pain
Stimulation of mechanoreceptors

Exact localisation
No movement between finger and skin
What are the application principles for frictions
Lightly until anaesthesia begins and able to increase pressure within patients tolerance
Minimal intervals of 48 hours between treatments
Dry skin no oil or lubricants
