The French Revolution was caused because of political conflict between the Monarchy and the nobility over the “reform” of the tax system led to paralysis and bankruptcy.

The American Revolution had much success with their revolt against the government which inspired other nations to do the same

France was ruled under absolute monarchy and they were in debt from borrowing money. Therefore the third estate was heavily taxed
