What is a Simple fracture?
A bone broken in one place and not damaged the tissue around it.
What is a Compound(open) fracture?
A fracture in which the broken bone pierces the skin through an open wound.
What is a Comminuted fracture?
A bone broken in several places
What is a Greenstick fracture?
An incomplete fracture of a long bone
This type of fracture is more common in children…
Greenstick, because of their soft and flexible bones.
What is an Impacted fracture?
A bone which has been broken and one end is driven into the other
What is a Complicated fracture?
Broken bone which damages tissue and/or organs around it
