FPTP - what do you do in the ballot box?
put a cross next to the constituent MP you prefer

you get one MP for each of the 650 constituencies

conservatives , labour and to some extent SNP benefit
Lib dem’s and minor parties don’t
FPTP - why are the SNP so good at gaining seats in parliament?
because their votes are concentrated in scotland

why was the 2024 election so unfair?
reform UK were the 3rd largest party in the popular vote with 14%, but got 5 seats in parliament
they were 4th most represented party, with 1% of the seats,
which is the same as some parties who got 1% of the popular vote, like Sinn Fein and Plaid Cymru
