Mrs Cratchit is angry at Scrooge for underpaying and overworking her husband but bob tells her it is Christmas Day and that you should be forgiving at Christmas. If bob didn’t forgive Scrooge then he may not have been their when Scrooge gave him a raise and said he would endeavour to help his family.
