In order to open locks after the cylinder has been pulled, there are different tools & methods, one of which is the 5 o clock - 7 o clock principle. Please explain.
Before pulling the lock cylinder check the position of the keyway. The keyway is always your 6 o clock position. insert bent end of key tool pointing to approx 5 o clock, move slide bolt to 7 o clock. if slide is found at 7 move to 5.
How shall you open a rim lock if the straight end of the key tool doesn’t work for you?
Take point end of halligan & drive the lock off the door.
