What is weight
The amount of force with which gravity pulls on an object;measured in newtons (N)
Friction
A force that tries to slow things down when two surfaces rub against each other. Friction is a force which opposes motion when two surfaces move across each other.
Tension
The pulling force acting on a stretched object

The force acting on an object resting on a surface due to the compression of the surface

It is a force like friction which opposes motion through a gas or liquid due to the gas of liquid’s particles pushing against the object
