Q

What is meant by a material with elastic properties?

A

Q

How do you carry out the experiment?

A

Attach the spring to the clamp and measure the original length, then after this add a weight and measure the extension. Keep doing this and add more weight each time.

Q

What does the graph showing spring extension show?

A

A directly proportional set of results, UNTIL the spring reaches its elastic limit where it cannot stretch any more or revert to its original shape.
