what is a Chopart injury?
fracture-dislocation is a dislocation of the mid-tarsal joints of the foot, often with associated fractures of the calcaneus, cuboid, and navicular bone
it affects the transverse tarsal joint
what is a Charcot marie tooth injury?
neurological disorder - hereditary sensory and motor neuropathy
what are some physical symptoms of Charcot marie tooth?
lack of muscle
high arch (pes cavus)
low arch (pes planus)
claw toes
what is mallet toe?
flexion of the distal phalanx of a long toe
what is the cause of mallet toe?
ill fitting shoes, arthritis, trauma, neuromuscular, and/or metabolic disease
what is hammer toe?
proximal phalanx hyperextended at the MTP
middle phalanx flexed at PIP

hyperextended of the MTP
