how does food effect a persons economic well being?
-calories are needed to work and enjoy our lives
-food’s needed for good health so people don’t experience malnutrition and get diseases (over two billion people suffer from under nutrition)
how does energy effect a persons economic well being?
-used to make houses, heat our homes, transport us and process food
-energy is needed to cook food and shed light to do the simplest tasks
-energy provides fuel for transport so people can easily get to work and don’t waste time in their day
how does water effect a persons economic well being?
-need it to survive, wash, dispose waste, grow food
-also used as a source of energy
-rainwater needs to be captured and stored in reservoirs or taken from rivers which is a very expensive process
malnourishment
when a person isn’t getting the right nutrients they need from their food
undernourishment
when a person isn’t getting enough food
