A
- Add iodine to food sample
- Positive result: turns blue-black
- Negative result: stays orange

- Place in water bath and let sample heat
- Positive result: turns brick-red
- Negative result: stays light-blue

- Positive result: white emulsion formed on top of sample
- Negative result: solution stays colourless

- Dissolve in warm, distilled water (Must use soluble foods)
