What happens when you have too much salt

A

It causes to much water to be kept by the body. This leads to swelling of the hands, feet and sometime the abdomen. Increase in blood pressure which can cause a stroke or a heart attack

What is digestion

A

When food is broken down by the mouth and by muscles lining the digestive system. It is also broken down my enzymes which cut up large food molecules and make them into smaller ones

A

The transformation of stored chemical every in food to useful energy in the body. oxygen+glucose–> carbon dioxide+water+(energy)

A

Fruit and veg, starchy foods, meat, dairy and milk and a small amount of sweets etc

What is the function of the lungs?

A

oxygen goes trough the wind pipe(trachea) trough tubes(called the bronchi) and into the lungs. The bronchi then lead into a network of tubes(bronchioles) and into air sacks(alveoli). Oxygen enters the blood in the alveoli and is carried by the blood into all the cells around the body.

What is the role of blood?

A

It transports material around the body. I carries oxygen (red blood cells), glucose and other food molecules to all cells in the body. Blood carries Carbon Dioxide away form the cells to the lungs.
