Because light cannot travel around solid opaque objects.

A mirror curving inwards. Always smaller, always the right way up.

The two 45° mirrors means that the light can get around corners.

Virtual image
What is total internal reflection?
When the angle of incidence is greater than the critical angle, the light reflects on the same side as it began on
What colours from white light is refracted most and least?
Most is violet least is red.
What are the primary colours of light?
Green, red and blue
What are the secondary colours of light?
Cyan, Magenta and Yellow.
Why does colour appear as it does?
Because the object absorbs all of the colours excepting the one you can see.
