Mallet finger (6)

A

Rupture of extensor tendon over dipj or bony avulsion
Distal phalnge in flexion
Can be caused by flexion from volleyball, ra or knife cut
Immoblise with distal phalanx in hyperextension
Injury open, kirshner wire used to stabilise joint then splinted
Injury closes then mallet finger splint used
