How is this airway intercept accomplished?
“On present heading, intercept J52 to RIC”

A

-Select RTE page. Then on RTE PG 1, enter J52 at 1L. Enter RIC at 1R. Once done, the fix that is at the start of the airway will appear at 1R. Airway will be at 2L and entered endpoint will be at 2R. Execute this.
-Next on the legs page, look at where you will intercept the airway and find the next fix on the airway after that. Perform a direct to that fix using the INTC CRS TO prompt at 6R. Execute and select LNAV

How is “On present heading, intercept 120° CRS TO RDU” entered?

A

-Line select RDU to 1L
-Then in INTC CRS TO boxes at 6R, enter 120
-If clearance was to intercept 300° radial to RDU, the procedure would be the same. Just have to mentally calculate the correct course

How is “On present heading, intercept RDU 050° Radial outbound entered?”

A

Type RDU050 in scratchpad and line select to 1L
(050°) will display at 1L on legs page with a discontinuity after it
