A

A
  • Heart failure
  • kidney failure (kidneys aren’t working)
  • alka seltzer, fleet enema, IVF w/NA (all 3 have a lot of sodium)

A

Heart is weak, CO decreases, decreased kidney perfusion, decrease urine output

A

When blood volume gets low (vomiting, blood loss, etc) aldosterone secretion increases retain NA/water, blood volume goes up
