FLT instruments Flashcards
Where are Transponders located
Inside the 2 Modular Radio Cabinets
What Buses are the RA’s on
RA 1 - DC Bus 1
RA 2 - DC Bus 2
What are the Components of an ADSP
- Multi Function Probe (MFP) (Pitot Tube)
- TAT Probe that connects into Air Data Computer (ADC)
- Air Data Computer (ADC)
What GPS is Baseline GPS, where are both GPS’s located
GPS 1 is Baseline GPS and is located in MAU1 in FWD E-Bay. GPS 2 is located on MAU 3 in Mid E-Bay
Can IRS Alignment be accomplished in FLT
Yes, by using GPS Data
How is AoA calculated
AoA is calculated based on an Interface between the Static Pressure of the smart probes
Each MFP has
- 2 Drain Holes
- 2 Static Ports
- 2 Total Pressure Ports
What does the HSI button do on Display Controller Panel
It switches between Full Compass, ARC or MAP mode for On-Side PFD
When is Vertical Speed Displayed or Removed
Displayed : Increases above +550 fpm or Decreases below -550 fpm
Removed : Decreases below 500 fpm or Increases above -500 fpm
When does Low Speed Awareness (LSA) Tape get Removed
- Airspeed Data Invalid
2. AoA Data Invalid
What Airspeed is coincident with the top of the Red Low Speed Awareness (LSA) Tape
Vshaker (Stick Shaker Activation)
What system drives our GRD Speed
Inertial References System (IRS)
When does the Green Hashed Box Display on the Altitude Readout Box
Below 10,000
What are 3 Scenario’s that Green Dot will be Removed from the PFD
- Loss of IAS
- Slat/Flap Position Disagreement
- Temporary while S/F are Transitioning
How is AoA measured
AoA is measured by taking the difference of Static Pressure readings from a Static Hole on Top and a Static Hole on the Bottom of the MFP
