17
Q

When can the captain confirm that we are ready to close?

A
  1. Paperwork exchanged.
  2. Fueling complete.
  3. MX logbook is onboard.
18
Q

How do we complete the Gross Weight Comparison?

A
  • Paper to Paper: .Z to Release
  • Paper to Glass: .Z to init B.
  • Glass to Glass: Init B to Lower ECAM
19
Q

What are the tolerances during the Gross Weight Comparison?

A

2,000 lbs

20
Q

When do we need an amended OFP?

A
  • Increase to required TO fuel.
  • Dispatch gives you updated fuel figures.
  • Addition or removal of an MEL/CDL.
  • ATC assigns 4,000’ or more off from original.
  • Route changes by 100+ NM or more laterally.
  • Alternate is added or changed.
21
Q

When is a quick alignment required?

A

A fast IRS alignment must be performed if a complete IRS alignment is not necessary and the difference between the IRS position and FMGC position is at or above 5 NM.

22
Q

The flight crew may accept a variance of +/- _____ souls on the aircraft zone report.

A

2

The Aircraft Zone Report must always be 100% accurate. The previous variance of +/- 2 is no longer acceptable. For any late arriving or disembarking passengers, a new Aircraft Zone Report must be provided to the Flight Crew that accurately reflects the number of passengers on board.

23
Q

CDP Formula

A
  • AGL / 1,000 * 3
  • Add 10%
  • Add 4 NM if 250 kts or 2 NM if 210 kts
24
Q

After landing, what considerations must be made before retracting the flaps?

A
  • Do not retract the flaps if the OAT is above 37 degrees, set flaps 1.
  • Do not retract the flaps if the runway was contaminated with slush or snow.
  • Retract the flaps before the ADIRS are set to off.
25
Q

When are wind and temperature entries required during cruise?

A

Winds greater than 30 kts or 30 degrees difference. 5 degrees for temperature.

26
Q

During After Start, what are we looking for when we check the PFD-ND?

A
  • V-speeds
  • Climb
  • NAV
  • 1 FD 2
  • Armed Altitude
27
Q

How long must the engines warmup prior to takeoff?

A

5 minutes if shutdown was 2 or more hours prior, 3 minutes if shutdown was less than 2 hours.

28
Q

If the brake fans are running during taxi, the takeoff must be delayed if the brake temperatures are above _____ degrees.

A

150

29
Q

When is a TOGA takeoff required?

A
  • Contaminated runway.
  • Windshear in vicinity.
  • Special departure procedure.
  • Required by MEL.
  • Flex temp is within 10 degrees of OAT.
30
Q

During ABBA/TOPHAT, what should be look for on the FUEL PRED page?

A

EFOB, GW, and EXTRA/TIME. EXTRA takes into account reserve fuel.

31
Q

During the approach briefing, be sure to include the “Big 3”:

A

Flap setting, tail-strike awareness, and thrust reversers.

It may also be a good idea to include when to transfer controls.

32
Q

How many gear pins and cowl latch keys should there be?

A

3 gear pins and 2 cowl latch keys.

33
Q

Are contact approaches authorized at Spirit?

A

No.

34
Q

All of the following conditions must be achieved prior to or upon reaching 1,000’ above TDZE, and maintained thereafter until landing:

A
  • The aircraft is on the correct lateral flight path.
  • The aircraft is on the correct vertical flight path.
  • The aircraft is the intended landing configuration with the Landing Checklist complete.
  • The airspeed does not exceed +20/-5 and trending toward “Target Speed.” * In managed speed, “Target Speed” is the magenta bug, due to Ground Speed Mini. * In selected speed, “Target Speed” is VAPP.
  • The thrust is stabilized, usually above idle, in order to maintain the target approach speed along the desired final approach path.
  • No excessive flight parameter deviation(s), as defined below.
  • “COURSE” if the course deviation is greater than the following:
  • For CAT II/III ILS approach, 1/3 dot.
  • For CAT I ILS approach, 1/2 dot.
  • For VOR approach, 2 1/2°.
  • “BANK” if the bank angle becomes greater than 7°:
  • “GLIDEPATH” if the V/DEV is greater than:
  • For APP NAV Approach: 1/2 dot
  • “GLIDESLOPE” if the G/S deviation is greater than the following:
  • For CAT II/III ILS approach,1/3 dot.
  • For CAT I ILS approach, 1/2 dot.
  • “SINK RATE” if the descent rate becomes greater than 1,000 ft/ min., unless required by the normal approach profile and previously briefed.
  • “PITCH” if the pitch attitude becomes less than
    -2.5° or greater than:
  • 10° nose up (A319/A320); or
  • 7.5° nose up (A321).
  • “SPEED” if the speed becomes greater than the speed target +20 KT, or less than the speed target
    -5 KT.
35
