Flight Training Flashcards
What is max bank angle with takeoff flaps?
25 degrees
What does CLB 1 and CLB 2 give you?
CLB 1 = 5% derate of CLB thrust
CLB 2 = 15% derate of CLB thrust
You lose your FMCs on the climb out. What speed do you climb at?
Below 10,000 = 250 or Ref + 100
Above 10,000 = 340 unti M.082
What 3 factors determin max altitude?
Max certified altitude - max structural alitude usually based on pressurization limits
Thrust Limit Altitude - max altitude that will give adequate climb performance (300/ft/min)
Maneuver Limit Altitude - 1.2 G to the stick shaker = 33 degrees of bank for FAA certification
When flying at max alitude will LNAV let you stall?
yes it can.
What does OPT alitude give you?
What is the margin to the stall?
optimum fuel burn when operating at ECON speed
1.5G to the stall = 48 degrees angle of bank
What does ECON speed give you?
cheapest operating cost speed based on the CI selected
What does LRC give you?
LRC is a variable speed schedule providing fuel mileage 1% less than the maximum available
How much fuel does a 4000’ foot climb burn?
500-650 lbs
You notice the Fuel Temp goes amber. You get an EICAS message FUEL TEMP. What do you do?
Descend or increase speed or both.
What is the top of the amber band on the speed tape and what does it give you?
Min maneovering speed, gives you 1.3 G or 40 degrees AoB to the stick shaker
Does the “hockey stick” change with G loads?
no
What is the bottom of the min maneovering band?
stick shaker
Can you take a “cleared direct to a RF fix” clearance?
no
What speed to the FDs pitch to after lift off?
V2+10-25 kts
