Flight Instruments And Displays Flashcards
What is the significance of the small white bug on the PFD A/S indicator during Takeoff? Approach?
T/O = V2 + 15
Approach:
- 700: Vref + 15
- 800/MAX: Vref + 20
On T/O, what is min speed for flap retraction?
- Normal
- Min
- Bank limit
- Normally, V2+20
- V2 + 15 is the min speed required for retraction except for a flaps 1 t/o (retract when approaching flaps 1 maneuvering speed).
Limit bank angle to 15 degrees until reaching V2 + 15
What does IAS DISAGREE alert indicate?
The CA and FO airspeed indications disagree by > 5 Kts for 5 continuous seconds
In an NG, what is the diff between a CDS MAINT and CDS FAULT alert?
MAINT (white) = dispatchable CDS fault
FAULT (amber) = non-dispatchable CDS fault
What does a (NG) DSPLY SOURCE / (MAX) DSPLY SOURCE 1 alert and the illumination of both EEC ALTN lights indicate? Which QRH Checklist should be used?
- A DEU (NG) or DPC (MAX) has failed = loss of signal to both EECs. EEC ALTN lights illuminate, and each EEC reverts to alternate mode.
- The root cause of the loss of a DEU/DPC would lead to DISPLAY SOURCE QRH, but either that or the EEC ALTERNATE MODE checklist would address the situation.
During flight <FL220, you observe a DSPLY SOURCE message on the PFD. Will the A/P and or FD be affected?
Yes. < FL220 available A/P modes and FD commands will be affected depending on the phase of flight and which A/P mode is selected. (See FRM 10.1.8.2 for description)
When VNAV is engaged, when will VNAV automatically switch from VNAV PTH to VNAV SPD?
When the airspeed exceeds the top of the VNAV speed band
What does the lower limit of the VNAV Speed Band in the PFD trigger?
Lower limit will trigger A/T wake-up
After performing the Immediate Action Steps, QRC, and QRH for an Airspeed Unreliable, what resource would you go to that can help determine your pitch and thrust settings as you continue with the flight?
Flight with Unreliable Airspeed table in the Performance Inflight chapter of the QRH.
