Block time
Time between an aeroplane first moving from parking place with intention of departing, to complete stop at parking position with engines off.
Duty
Any task a crew member is required to carry out associated with the business of an AOC holder.
Anything work related.
Duty Period
A period which starts when a crew member is required by an operator to commence a duty and ends when the crew member is free from all duties.
Home base
Location nominated by operator, where duty starts and ends.
Operator not responsible for accommodation.
Local Day
24 hour period starting at 0000 LT
Local Night
Any 8 hour period between 2200-0800
Single Day Free of Duty
2 local nights included.
Rest Period
Uninterrupted period, crew is free of all duties and airport standby
Window of Circadian Low
WOCL - between 0200-0559hrs
Night Duty Time
0200-0459
Duty Limits in 14 consecutive days
110 duty hours
Total Block Time limits in any 12 consecutive calender months
