CA: Ailerons, onside Elevator
FO: Spoilers, onside Elevator
How many flight spoilers are there? Ground?
8 flight spoilers (ABAB BABA)
4 additional Ground spoilers (1 outboard and 1 inboard per wing)
What is the path from Control column to aileron?
Cables > Feel/ Centering > PCUs A+B
What is the purpose of the Speed Trim System?
Assists to return the airplane to trimmed speed
(Trims down with low airspeed)
(For Autopilot OFF)
SPEEDBRAKE EXTENDED
Speedbrakes extended while:
- Flaps >10 or
- RA < 800
LE SLATS UP EXT FULL EXT -700 -800
UP -
EXT -700: 1,2,5 -800: 1,2,5,10,15,25
FULL EXT: -700 >5 -800: >25
LE FLAPS TRANSIT
- In transit
- Not in selected position
- Slat skew exists
- LE Lights to determine
Autoslats function:
Powered:
Drives LE Slats from EXT to FULL EXT at slow speed
LE Slats return to EXT at recovery
Normally HYD B
Alternatively HYD A through PTU
Flap Load Relief
“Blow up”
- 700 Flaps 30, 40 only
- 800 Flaps 10 - 40
Retracts flaps when airspeed above flap limit
Moving the Alternate Flaps switch to ARM:
- Closes TE Flap bypass valve
- Activates standby pump
- Arms ALT Flaps position switch
Moving the ALT flaps extension switch to DOWN:
LE - FULL EXT via Standby Hydraulic System (permanently down)
TE - Uses Electric motor
Elevator Feel Shift
Control Column pushes forward at twice the rate you are pulling back. To prevent a stall.
