Flight Control Hydaulics Flashcards
How does the Hydraulic interlock system work?
What does the power control module do?
How many functions does the pressure switch on the power control module have?
Provides a ground to the opposite hydraulic system
Lights the AFCS caution light
Lights the HYD caution light
How is a true interlock check performed?
Turn off #1 PTU and then turn on #1 HYD system. #2 HYD system will not turn OFF. And vise versa.
When the ptu is turned off, the pressure will bleed off and the pressure switch ground will not be supplied to the opposite system which would allow you to turn it off (by placing the switch to #1 on)…so it doesn’t turn off.
What keeps pressure on the flight control reservoir?
A spring (60psi of pressure)
