how is a no action outcome reached? what must be considered?
the fitness to practice committee must consider whether the outcome has breached professional stands or undermined public confidence if no sanction was handed out
what may committee also consider on removal of someone from the register
is the committee agrees of removal of someone from the register, they may also impose interims to stop a pharmacist from working until a decision has been met
What does the agree undertakings sanction entail?
Promises are made by a registrant who admits their FtP is currently impaired
An example is that they will now not dispense CDs unsupervised
can conditions of practice last up to 3 years?

how long does a registration suspension last ?
up to 12 months
why are the purpose of sanctions?
to protect the public
to maintain convince of the public in the profession
to with professional standards of conduct and behaviour within the profession
describe the stages of assessing a FtP
- GpHc will investigate the case
- look at the case in more detail if they could not close it in stage 1
- passed to the investigative committee
- FtP hearing which is public
