A medication review is a structured critical examination of a patient’s medicines with the objective of reaching an agreement with the patient about the treatment, optimising the impact of medicines, minimising the number of medication related problems and reducing waste

what are traget groups or high risk groups?

A

high risk drug such as methotrexate, warfarin etc

high risk drug groups eg NSAIDs, anti-cholinergics, sedatives, analgesics and anti-psychotics

limited clinical efficacy eg quinine, anti-spasmodics, anti-emetics and peripheral vasodilators
