How can ones access to facilities be a motivator and how can it be a barrier?
Motivator- If facilities (ovals, gyms, pools) are close by, you are more likely to use them
Barrier- isolated areas have limited access to facilities. If there isn’t a gym close by it is ‘too much effort’
How can the cost of exercising be both a barrier and a motivator for individuals?
Motivator- cheap cost can entice you to join/buy
Barrier- if membership/price of product is too much you wont get it
How can an individual’s feelings about exercise be both a motivator and barrier?
Motivator- If your inspired and motivated to get fit, you’re more likely to exercise
Barrier- If you see exercise as boring and too much effort, you are unlikely to participate
How can the influence of other responsibilities be both a motivator and barrier for an individual when it comes to exercising?
Motivator- Gyms at work can make you more likely to participate. Family members may encourage you.
Barrier- May be too busy and have to much other stuff on their schedule to exercise.
