A
Treat all firearms as if it is loaded.
Never let your muzzle cross anything you aren’t willing to destroy.
Keep your finger off the trigger until you have formed the intention to fire.
Ensure of your intended target and threat.

A
A direction in which any unintentionally fired shot would be safely stopped and contained without injury and at most minimal property damage
