systematic theology
The doctrine that God always acts in accordance with what is right and that he is himself the final standard of what is right
righteousness
The ability to make willing choices that have real effects. God’s free will includes all things that God decided to will but had no necessity to will according to His nature
Free Will
Everything that He must will according to His own nature. He wills himself.
necessary will
God’s hidden decrees by which he governs the universe and determines everything that will happen
Secret will
God’s declared will concerning what we should do or what God commands us to do
revealed will
God’s exercise of power over His creation
sovereignty
God is continually involved with all created things in such a way that He keeps them existing and maintaining properties with which He created them, cooperates with created things in every action, and directs them to fulfill His purposes.
God’s Providence
A secret act of God in which He imparts new spiritual life to us, (Born Again) Must come before we respond to effective call in saving grace. We play no active part
regeneration
An instantaneous legal act of God in which He thinks of our sins as forgiven and Christ’s righteousness as belonging to us, and declares us to be righteous in His sight.

What are the 4 proofs for the existence of God?
1) Cosmological Argument - every known thing has a cause
2) Teleological argument - gives evidence of an intelligent purpose
3) Ontological argument - Greater to exist than not to exist
4) Moral argument - Man’s sense of right and wrong and need for justice

Explain traditional roles of men and women in the church.
Men and women are equal in personhood, but there is a distinction in authority. In 1 Cor. 11:3 - The head of every man is Christ, and the head of a woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.

What does a woman in leadership at Epic look like?
It is under the covering of her husband. If she does not have a husband it would be under the authority of whoever the male figure is in authority at that campus.
What is sin?
Any failure to conform to the moral law of God in act, attitude, or nature. Describing sin as selfishness is not a good definition.
What is the doctrinal importance of the virgin birth?
1) Shows salvation ultimately must come from the Lord
2) Made the uniting of full deity and full humanity in one person possible
3) Make’s possible Christ’s true humanity without inherited sin
What is true saving faith?
Knowledge, approval and personal trust in Jesus. Trust in Jesus Christ as a living person for forgiveness of sin and for eternal life with God

Physical Realm: Food, material goods
Intellectual realm: Truth / understanding
Moral Realm: Sense of right and wrong
Creative realm: Artistic and musical talent
Social realm: Family and Government
Religious realm: Blessing to unbelievers
What is the doctrinal significance of the resurrection?
1) Ensures regeneration (1Peter 1:3)
2) Ensures justification (Romans 4:25)
3) Ensures we will receive our perfect resurrection bodies (1Cor 6:14)
Explain the gospel call, regeneration, conversion, and justification and the order they happen in.
1) Receive Gospel call (Holy Spirit speaks to you and makes you aware of your need for a Saviour.
2) Conversion (turn to Christ and accept as Savior)
3) Regeneration (being born again)
4) Justification (all sins are forgiven)
