Where do brain tumors originate?
A
Tumor:rapidly dividing cells->seldom in mature neurons. Can arise in meninges (protective membranes of CNS) or by metastasis from tumors elsewhere. Usually glial cells (gliomas): rapid growth/highly malignant. B/c of blood/brain barrier, needs radiation or Sx.
