Strategic intelligence looks at the broader, bigger picture. It focuses on criminal capabilities, vulnerabilities, intentions, and limitations. It would be considered a management support tool as strategic intelligence assists in decision making and the determination of future action. The ultimate goal of strategic intelligence is to identify threats that are emerging and not totally out of hand.
