  • Pick up pilot.
  • Couple to the disabled train, change ends, complete brake test.
  • Advise Train Control that trains are coupled and ready for written authority to set back on SWA-02.
  • Proceed indication or verbal authority from signaller to pass signal 211 ABC, then call clear and complete once past signals 220/222 ABR.
  • Cancel SWA-02.

If ‘R’ light on signal 220 ABR is not illuminated, a SWA-02 is required from Train Control to pass signal concerned:

  • Proceed cautiously at restricted speed, not exceeding 40 km/h.
  • Pick up pilot.
  • Couple to the disabled train, change ends, complete brake test.
  • Advise Train Control that trains are coupled and ready to set back.
  • Proceed indication or verbal authority from signaller to pass signal 211 ABC, then call clear and complete once past signals 220/222 ABR.
  • Cancel SWA-02.
