A system that required citizens to provide labour, in return they could use the land. This allowed them to have a huge labour force.

What is Machu Picchu?
1450-1570. Built by an inca ruler in an isolated location. Thought to be a royal retreat for the elite and royal members. Archaeological site in Peru between mountain peaks. Hiram Bingham found the site.

Fields were engineered to to create a suitable landscape for agriculture.
What is khipu?
Inca system of knotted strings used to record information.
What kind of textiles did the inca have?
Elaborate and decorative

Lead the spanish conquest.
What is split inheritance?
Ince tradition. Kingship was passed from father to son, and upon the king’s death, the son was given control and crown of the state, but the wealth stayed with the father.
