Explain metallic filters.
A
Also known as strainers. Normally made from metal with holes in. They are used to remove larger coarse particles from within a system. These can be removed, cleaned, and returned to the system.

Explain absorbant filters.
A
Made from paper, cloth, felt, yarn etc. They remove finer particles and are used when a high level of cleanliness is required. When these filters are services they are replaced.
